WEI LIN
YALE-NUS
Wei Lin (she/her) is an Environmental Studies major and (possible) Anthropology minor at Yale-NUS College. She is passionate about social impact work but finds it difficult to choose the cause she wants to dedicate herself to -- there are just too many social issues out there! In her free time, she enjoys spending time in green spaces and thinking about more sustainable ways for humans to live, play and work. To find out more about the hype behind sustainable investing, she took up an internship with Panarchy Partners to see how doing sustainable investing in an intentional manner would look like.

“This internship was an eye-opening experience for me as I had first-hand experience navigating the current complex sustainability investing space. I supported various projects that the company was working on, from screening companies to doing research on the links between financial capital and other forms of capital, to even having the chance to participate in a CSR activity with the company. I was also very fortunate to be able to participate in certain team meetings that gave me new perspectives on the debates within the field of sustainable investing. The internship experience also firmed up my belief that all stakeholders (individuals, communities, regulators/policymakers, businesses etc) have a part to play in the urgent work of climate change mitigation and adaptation. Overall, I am inspired by the team’s dedication to driving change in the financial sector!”
