Sustainability Analyst / Panvestor
Tayef has been in the sustainability space since 2011, and has held strategic roles at various organizations which includes apparel companies, research institutes and universities. He first started as the Head of Sustainability at Viyellatex Group in Bangladesh (a textile conglomerate) in 2011, before moving to Singapore in 2013 to pursue his postgraduate degree. In Singapore, he was a researcher at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS, and at the Nanyang Business School at NTU before joining Panarchy Partners.
Tayef holds an MSc in Environmental Management from the National University of Singapore, and is also a GRI-certified sustainability reporting specialist. His Masters dissertation was selected for publication in the ‘Best Dissertation Book’ of his cohort in 2014.
Tayef is an avid billiards/pool player and has won several championships in both snooker and pool competitions in his home country. He has represented the Bangladesh National Snooker Team at the Doha 2006 Asian Games, and the National Pool Team at the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games.
As the youngest team member, what I admire most about Panarchy Partners is the culture of learning my colleagues have cultivated among us. To me, I have learned a great deal more by simply asking questions rather than reading about them.
