CONRAD WERNER

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Conrad’s career in finance began 25 years ago in investment banking with UBS in New York. In 2000, he joined Morgan Stanley’s equity research department in London, initially covering the tech and telecom sectors, before transitioning to coverage of pan European mid-caps. In 2009 he moved to Singapore with Morgan Stanley to cover ASEAN Industrials and Agribusiness.

Conrad joined Macquarie as Head of Singapore Research in 2011. In addition to market strategy, he served as lead analyst for the Industrials, Financial, Agribusiness and Digital sectors at various periods. As Head of ASEAN research (from 2016) he additionally coordinated analyst teams across Macquarie’s regional footprint.

In 2019, Conrad moved to Macquarie’s Equity Capital Solutions team to assess private market opportunities in SE Asia, with a primary focus on startups in the digital space.
EDUCATION
Conrad has an AB Economics (cum laude) from Princeton University.
PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Having had the good fortune of living and working in multiple geographies, Conrad has developed a deep appreciation for life’s rich pageant. He spends his free time reading, listening to guitar-driven music and reliving the middle school curriculum with his daughter.
